                            PHP Amos McCluney

Past High Priest Amos B. McCluney, III was born on August 19, 1965, in Wilmington, Delaware, into a Christian family and was raised by parents who believed in serving God and others. He graduated from Howard Career Center in 1983, where he played football and ran track. He attended North Carolina A&T State University, majoring in electrical engineering, and Vista College, obtaining an Associate in Applied Science In Trades Management. He married his college sweetheart Vickie. They have been married for 35 years and have three precious daughters and one beautiful granddaughter. 

PHP McCluney entered the United States Army in March of 1988 as a Power Generator Equipment Repairer and retired after serving the people of the United States for over 24 Years of honorable military service in June 2012. He served in various locations and deployed numerous times, some of which were to support Desert Storm, Operation Enduring Freedom, and Iraqi Freedom. His military awards and decorations include the Purple Heart, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon, NCO Professional Development Medal, and the Army Service Ribbon, Combat Action Badge, Mechanics Badge, the Wheeled Driver's Badge, and the prestigious Ordnance Order of Samuel Sharpe Award. 

While serving as the EHP (King), he helped establish the Annual appreciation banquet. He continued the tradition of other activities such as PHAmily and Friends, the Annual Christmas Party, and the Community Thanksgiving Dinner. PHP McCluney was raised to the sublime degree of a Master Mason in Henry U. Ayres Lodge 120 in Wurzburg, Germany (Maryland jurisdiction) and later demitted into Sunset Lodge No 76 in El Paso, TX. (Served as Worshipful Master 2010-2011), DeMolay Commandery #22 (served as Eminent Commander 2018-2021), Rio Grande Consistory, Crenshaw Commanders of the Rite, Lemuel L. Raynor Council #8, Oro Temple #9 A.E.A.O.N.M.S, and a member of Dr. William O. Jones class 2015 Grand Inspector Generals, The Military Order of the Purple Heart “Lone Star” Chapter 393. 

PHP McCluney is actively serving in the York Rite; as the King (RAC 90), Captain of the guard (Lemuel L. Raynor Council #8), Treasurer (DeMolay Commandery #22), and chaplain (Sunset Lodge No 76). He enjoys spending time with his family and friends. His hobbies are reading,  working on cars, and woodworking.
